Movie plot
In the third year of Xuantong's reign, a boy named Laixi got castrated and entered the Forbidden City, so he could provide food for families. After the Qing Dynasty was overthrown, all eunuchs left the palace. Laixi came to the theatrical troupe to learn from his master. He met with his childhood friend Zhaodi; however, she left him after learning Laixi was a eunuch. Later, they met again while Zhaodi was pregnant.
